silver cord falls on the trail to Dingmans Falls, the Hurricane in 2011 washed out many roads in the area, 209 was washed out north of here, the road to the Visitor center was washed out along the sides more than one place so we had to walk over a mile to get from 209 to the visitor center. from the visitor center there is a nice boardwalk to both falls and if you are up to it a huge long flight of stairs takes you to the top of Dingman's falls
