This might be helpful to some people. I bought a 1/8" piece of hard board to do a layout of what I wanted and was still able to draw in where everything will go from a side view. When I'm ready I can use this to do a flush route. I have to keep in mind to stop flush routing on the top flat to slide the jig back to make it 8' 3 1/2".
