Glue another 1x3 to the bottom face of the aft spar at 90 degrees.
I also cut away the foam along the teardrop side of the cut and added vertical 1x3 members to frame the galley opening like a door frame in a house.
I added the same ledge to the vertical members, to form a lip for the galley to align over when shut.
