The website says no dogs in the park but OK on 10 ft lead in the campground. Not sure of the difference between "park" and "campground" . . . if there is no place to disappear for a little while and run him, he'll stay home.

Yo 66:
Cliffside is split into 2 spaces. A county park, for picniks and such, and the campground. Dogs are allowed in the campground as long as they are kept on a leash. You can't take them into the park section.

Thanks Tom . . . Sounds like the 2 areas are right next to each other so not a good place for a dog that needs to get his carbs burned off.
Plus, if he got a whiff of the lake, who knows what he would do . . . (maybe fish for dinner ?) :wacky

There is a dog park listed about 4 miles away off of hwy 38 in Johnson Park for those who are interested . . .

He would need to be a sure footed climber, they don't call it Cliffside for nothing!!

Tom

PS Johnson Park is a real nice park paid for by Sam Johnson......you know....Johnson Wax!!!

Oh...There is a beach! You just need to work for it. More fun after 20-30 beers, especially if you are the one watching from the top.

If you need a place for the dog to run we can go by my old neighbor and run in his back yard, easily a couple hundred acres of wide open. I need to stop by and visit anyway if I am down that far. (It is right on 7mile road and I-94) Also if anyone is interested in old tractors he has a collection of about a 100, mainly old Massey Harris. He is about 70 years old and loves to show off the tractors. They all look like they came off the show room. My favorite is a Massey Harris model 55 with a 305 Chevy motor, the only one that is not stock. We had to cut down 2 trees to get it out when we went to get that one...it sat so long.
It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.

Elmo,

You know, if the wife lets me escape the campgroung I might just be up for tractors too. Like my wife say's "you winch boys and your old tractors". I grew up on a farm and have had more than my share of tractor tinkering.

I also have one other detour that weekend I have to make, it will probably on the way there before I arrive. The company that makes parts for the airplane I am building is based at the Kenosha airport. Must stop and see them.

Cary:
When you get to the Kenosha airport, look for a hanger with a huge satalite dish on top. That's the hanger where my friend built that micro jet I told you about.

Tom,

Hmm, it might take some time to get out of there in other words?

I'm making name tags so we can all get aquainted.

PM me with your Forum name and your real names along with City/State.

I have another one. A customer just emailed me to say they took site #16. So, one more brand new Camp-Inn (we haven't even built it yet). Their names are Pam Roth and Gene Gestwicki.

Tom, you may remember them from the Camp-Outt. They came and spent the day with us sans teardrop. They live very close by to this gathering actually so is something they really want to do break in the new one properly.

Duke, when doing the tags I see that Doug Hardekopf's name is spelled wrong on the list, no L in it.

Yes, I remember that couple. They will have a good opportunity at this gathering to prepare for Camp-Inn Camp-Outt 2007

Just got a update from Pam and Gene. They had a reservation issue and are now in a different site. They are in 28 now. Actually better, it puts them in closer to the pack.
