Crossroads of America 2013 Gathering

Out of state fees $7.00 (one time at the gate).
Reservations to be made by the campers on line at http://indianastateparks.reserveamerica.com/

Campers are to reserve their personal site using the "Reserve America" link above.
You should get your site reserved as soon as possible since the park will fill up fast.

Reservations are available six months in advance.
If you plan to attend there will be constant updates regarding the earliest possible reservation dates.
This will be important if we intend to fill the park with Tearjerkers for the CRA 2013 event.

As we do not currently have another Hoosier thread being visited regularly I hope you will forgive me for borrowing this one.

I have a buddy that has stripped down a 6 x 10 popup and has now decided it will not work for his needs. I will get some pictures tomorrow and a few more particulars but it would make a sweet tiny trailer. Its located near Delphi IN and $100.00 will tow it home, so PM me for the particulars.


I will list it in the "for sale" section just wanted my camping buddies to know about it first.

I think that we need to have a "waffle cooking" event that will show off some of our cast iron equipment at the CRA 2013.

This could be a Friday or Saturday morning cooking event and I'll bring my new (old) "Vintage Nordic Ware" Belgium Waffle iron. I'm all ready to make some waffles.

Cliff, that's perfect.
Those things are fairly rare and it would be a welcomed addition to the "Waffle Feast".


Make sure to bring it along. This will be a blast for Saturdays breakfast.

The CRA 2013 web site now shows a list of Contests and Challenges. Keep in mind that this is all friendly competition and is solely for the entertainment and enjoyment of the Campers.

In 2011 we had an Attendance Guessing game to see who could come closest to the final attendance number. The winner took home nearly $100. That $100 fit nicely in the gas tank on the way home.

This challenge will be done again this year. Entry is $2.00 for each guess. We are on the honor system regarding payment of your bet. This will be collected at the Gathering in July and the prize will be awarded on Saturday evening.

Another Challenge is the "Waffle Feast". Anyone interested in cooking up some waffles on Saturday morning and showing of their "cast Iron" is welcomed to join in. No prizes for this challenge except the satisfaction of cooking waffles. (details to come)
