We had rain every day this week, and with no garage I left my gear in the trailer. So being in the high 20s today and sunny, I popped the trailer open and nearly fell over with the odour from the mildew. Yuck. The trailer and bedding are clean and packed.

Note to self....bring trash bags in case I have to pack the First-up in the rain.

today was the 8th straight day with rain but it did get nice & hopefully tomorrow will be dry out day!

I'm thinking that the clouds are just shaking themselves out so we can have a sunny and dry Tearup.

We'll try and bring some sunshine up with us... we just got back from the Hoosier Spring Gathering at Versailles State Park and the weather was absolutely perfect.... a couple hours of rain last night after the potluck, but the temps and sunshine were great all weekend.

We're in the camping mode now, so look out FCP..... here we come...

Shake 'em just a little harder for us Wayne.....

I'm looking forward to a fun night of sampling at my site (#231) on Friday night! I know of at least one person that's got a batch going right now. Anyone else?? Will there be root beer beer this year? Or perhaps birch beer beer?? There were also some really good micro brew beers there last year. I'm looking forward to trying more of those as well. Don't forget... all tear up participants are invited. If you don't like beer, come by anyway!

I have the labels ready

I think we finally got a handle on the weather situation. I'm sitting on my deck in Fitchburg, Mass in shorts and a tshirt in 74 degrees. A very pleasant evening.

I can't wait to reconnect with my old and new teardrop friends. We're arriving Monday the 6th and staying all week. If any other early birds want to get together for a paddle or some Dutch Oven cooking, please drop me an eMail.

We've had one rain-free day since Sampson, luckily it was a Saturday. With any luck, the water will be in the ground and not in the clouds at Fish Creek.

Since we left the teardrop gathering at Sampson, we're still on the road camping! Hit Letchworth, Watkins Glen, Eight Lake and have been here at Fish Creek all week. Weather has been decent with some entertainment from thunderstorms and water splashing on the ground from the sky once in a while.

The pond water is still pretty high and the odd rain storm here and there isn't helping. Alas all your sites are still high and dry! Will be easy navigating the waterways this year by kayak. I here you even have to duck to get under the bridge out of Floodwood!

Campground is at near capacity this weekend. True FCP aren't scared of no rain or swarms of darn blackflies!

I have a few more updates on campers that I'll add to the participants list (during the next rain storm).

By the way, Phil at the Trading Post had some neat little souvenirs made for all the teardroppers. Be sure to look on the wall behind the cash to check them out during your stay at the TearUp.

We decided to take a break from t-shirts/mugs/pendants/flags this year. Maybe next year.

Cheers from site 116

Well looks like we have had to cancel for this trip. It was just too far and we are still trying to figure out the battery situation in the T@B. We will try for a closer one where they have electric. Hope you all have the most wonderful time and maybe we'll see you next year!
