Pat and I are hoping to come up and join the fun. Just to early to lock in dates for vacation time after the first of the year we will know more. Hope good sites can still be found. We are trying to fit this into the middle of a 10 day trip.

I'd love to have my own teardrop by then...but if not, I'll still be driving up to visit. I'll make sure I've got the website bookmarked. It always scares my boss when I book vacation time 7-8 months in advance... :applause:

Let me talk to the wife... dunno if she can handle a trip that long with her back ... but we'll see what happens :)

We just booked site 246. Now the hard part is waiting..waiting...waiting.

We'll try to remember to bring treats for the flamingos - what do they like?

We probably camped our last weekend two weeks ago, unless we get some better weather (unlikely) after Thanksgiving.

See everyone in June.

Alan & Leslie, we're neighbors again! Just booked site 247. I've booked it for three nights beginning on Friday the 15th but if we can make it up a day earlier and stay a day or two later we will. Last year I pushed a bit too hard to get up there on Thursday and I promised Kate I wouldn't do that again.

Dave, like last year it will be Kate Johnson and me with dog Sarah in a homebuilt teardrop with a canoe.

See you in June!

Joseph & Kate (+ Sarah),
Fantastic to hear that we will be neighbors again. Your teardrop is definitely the "teardrop we have camped next to the most" in our 2+ years of teardropping.

Best wishes to all Tearuppers - past and future. See you all in June. Less than 6 months to go.

I think that this photo was taken at a tavern down the road from Fish Creek last June.

This year it's camping in the Adirondacks for me.
I'm registered for six days at Fish Creek Pond for the 2007 Tearup. (site #233)

I'm excited because, as a kid, some of my best camping memories stem from the Adirondacks (Tupper lake and Saranac lake as well as the Thousand Islands.)

The reason for my early arrival (June 11) revolves around my older son's wedding in Pittsburgh on June 9. Since I live in Indiana, there is no sense in going "home" and then driving to FCP. I'll make it a long week and enjoy the mountains.

The extra 12 hours gained by going straight to FCP will result in more time "teardroppin".

I don't own a kayak or canoe, but the I suppose I can always rent one for fishing and cruisining the lake.

One question; What about a fishing license? Does New York State require a short term license to fish at FCP?

Hate to waist the time looking for one after I get there, so any advanced information would be great.

I'm hoping to bring my wife along, but she might still be numb from the wedding. (we'll see)

I am aware that FCP has no electric hook ups so the Honda (1000i) will get a good workout for the week.

I'm looking forward to the trip, the camping and meeting the board members and others along the way.

I saw the pictures of the waffle attempt. That's not what drew me to the gathering though.

Steve, don't worry it will eventually come off and the experience will be worth the anxiety. Think of the fame and celebrity of it all.

I usually make sausage and eggs (or pancakes) on the DO lid. Haven't stuck one yet, but then I've never tried waffles.

Anyone play music (guitar, harmonica, bongos) at the gathering?
Maybe some campfire entertainment would be fun.

Steve- I do believe you redeemed yourself at the Fall TearDown. Of course, I would have to try them again to make a truly informed opinion! :D
Looking forward to meeting you Kurt, always good to add new friends to the Tear-Up!!
