Dang! You planned this for the weekend just before our Finger Lake 10-15 day camping trip which we had planned to start on May 16th. Now I guess we'll have to revamp the plans so we can do duh Camporee! Would mean we have more wine time too before we head back north to Fish Creek for Memorial Week. Any good sites left Rick? Photos? :D

I've been looking into this gathering. It sounds like a nice park. Don't know that I'll be able to make this one though. It might be a little too far NORTH for me to travel. :R Haven't ruled it out completely yet though.[/quote]

Site 222 is listed as a prime waterfront site Dave, just your style!

I don't have any digital photos of site 222, but I can tell you it's one of the biggest sites in the loop, maybe even in the park. There's a HUGE level and grassy area (the size of a couple of FCP sites) between the main "pad" and the waterfront, and one corner of the open area has a path down to the lakefront that is the least steep of any on the waterfront side of the loop. All of the water-side sites have a great mix if shade and sun, but 222 has a very large open area, too.

During the Wine Country Circuit dog show, the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever campers and the Flat Coated Retriever campers have both used that site for their after-show parties. ;)

I don't know how my May is going to shake out, but if I'm back from Denver....

Watersites are over rated :D

Besides, I couldn't find but a single photo of the campground on the net! Whats with that! Is it a vast open field, marshy wet land, steep hilly forest or tall pine santuary? No worry... camping with lots of great friends! I'm good.

We choose to be close to Diane and Rick instead and opted for site 233. Booked Fri and Saturday but might stay extra day(s) since this will be the start of a 12 day Finger Lakes Wine/Camping and kayaking tour followed by 2 weeks at Fish Creek.

Are the finger lakes narrow enough to kayak across? lol. Whats the kayaking possibilities like in the area?
