Weather forecasted vary from website to website, but looks like comfortable temps next weekend, ie 72-72F (22-23C for us Canucks). Should be showers Thurs, Fri, Sat.

Kind of irrelevant I suppose... the weather forecast will change a bunch of times before the TearUp, but its fun to dream of perfect weather :D

How will the weather know what sites are occupied by people from Canada and which ones are occupied by people from the US?

thanks for the replies to my question about best time to come to check out all your trailers! it looks like we're going to come on saturday. but it sounds like there's some kind of paddling / canoe ritual, and I think Dave said that's Saturday morning-ish. So what time do you all get back to camp on Saturday?

Thanks!
Kyle

Kyle,

The paddle (if it happens - depends on weather) would likely be late morning. It's not an official event. Everyone would be back mid afternoon. Wine and Cheese aka Wine and Prizes starts at 6pm.

Considering, perhaps, lets say campers from 12 sites tops go paddling, and about 50% have teardrops of which 50% might be home built, worse case you would be missing talking to 3 people with home builts. Lots of others will likely be around socializing etc so you will have a ton of trailers and people to visit anyhos.

Do pop over and say hi! (Airstream on site 241).

Cheers

For anybody new to the TearUp or for alumni that might have had a seniors moment, you can download the
TearUp Campers Guide at http://tearuptheadk.com/campersguide2011package.pdf

I've also added an event on Facebook for the TearUp (kinda late I know) which will be useful to those who aren't always here on T&TTT, but who live on Facebook

There are at least 24 TearUp campers that I know of on Facebook. Likely there are more of you. A great place to connect with the rest of the gang to stay in touch.

See https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=226160187409594

Cheers

Tom, I'll add your 'movie' night to the list of informal events, and the TearUp Campers Guide.

Time to go out and wash / 303 my kayak! Did Kates yesterday. We want those babies to just slip through the water effortlessly at Fish Creek!

Kyle,

I just put my tear on the road a few days ago, still adjusting, changing, and adding to it. At this point I honestly feel that the tear is never really finished. The important part is that it is finished enough to get on the road.
We plan to get our daughter out of school lunch time on Friday and drive over. Likely will not be at the camp until 7pm or so. Hope to beat sundown to get setup on a site that is yet to be determined. Camp Friday and Saturday night.

Anyway, I built my Tear following the Benroy plans but modified to become a Grumman. The inside cabinets are left out so I can put in a hammock for our daughter.

Anyway we would be glad to share our journey that led us from reading about teardrops 4 years ago to building that frame last summer and now actually camping. The most important part is the investment of less than about $600 or so..............

I have no idea what site we might find when we arrive but if the cell phone works please give us a call when your there if you want to see it up close

Important Question for Beer Tasters

I was thinking of starting beer tasting at either 7 or 8. What time would work best for those of you that are planning on participating? I'm not sure if folks would prefer to start earlier or later. Please let me know. I'll set a time based on the general consensus so that people know what's going on.

Thanks!
