Just got home from FCP, had a really good time and if i can servive all the bug bites on the back of my neck so can you, just took a look at them for the first time in the mirror, just keep telling myself they dont itch, dave and kate, great as usual, so much fun, go glad we are retired so we can come when we want and not call in sick like dennis, we stopped at Oscars in warrenburgs for smoked bacon and GOOD cheddar cheese, next year if anyone wants good smoked bacon, either hickory or applewood I can take orders and pick it up on my way. good fire last night and loved the guitars and singing

Got everything strung up to dry out Mary? We have Spot in the garage drying out, and all our tent and kitchen tent stuff strung up in the other side of the garage to dry out. Spot stayed nice and dry. Good seeing you folks!

Back from a super TearUp!

Staying the extra night is always a super bonus for those that do/can.

By 2pm (Sunday) the sun was out and all was right in the world again. 22 sites were still filled with TearUp campers Sunday night. Had a great paddle around the ponds and sipped on some 'left overs'. :)

Sunday night about 30 of us gathered at Al and Leslie's for an unbelieveable night of heartful guitar playing and singing. Leslie, Mark, Anita, Fred and Patrick all played as well as sang (along with Pat). Twas a special night. The rangers only came around once... :o

Another smaller group gathered around at Amber and Brians.

Lots of photos and videos to process. No worry, I won't post anything embarrassing of anyone in total celebratory mode.

More to post at some later time.

Thanks to everyone for making this another great gathering of great friends!

Sorry we missed the Tear-up this year. We missed all of the friends that we have there plus all of the new ones we haven't met yet. Becky is feeling a little better but not 100% yet. A special thanks to Sparky and Clare for taking over the Food Drive for us. When we told them we were not going to make it the first thing they said was they would take over for us. They have become great friends of ours ( They are also a lot of fun too!) Thanks to all who donated, we heard it was a real success. Hope to see all of you soon,
Ed and Becky.

Well darn it! I wish I'd seen this a month earlier. I was just searching the forums for campground recommendations. I'm starting in Chicago and headed for Maine via 401 through Canada to Quebec. Arcadia Nat'l Park, Bar Harbor, VT, NH, MD - mebbe DC if I have time - back through OH and IN to home.

Any advice, particularly for Canada, would be much appreciated :)

What a great time we had at this tearup. Thanks to all of you that made this such a blast. We made some new friends and enjoyed the company of some old ones. Congrats to Bryan and Amber on their engagement. Hope to see many of you in October at Old Forge.

We sure enjoyed being next door to you guys, and particularly enjoyed Justin's guitar playing. I hope Rick gets that vintage truck he wants so bad, and I hope to see more of Nancy's fine craftsmanship in the future.

Old Forge in October eh? Snuggling weather? ;)

Thanks!

I went through the list one day to come up with a final revised list of those who made it to the TearUp. See http://tearuptheadk.com/participants.html

I added photos were I had them for nearly everyone.

Not sure that I met a few folks including Roger and Eileen with the Camp-Inn and Lynn/David and Webster with the Little Guy. Are they in the group photo?

There are a few others on the list I am missing. Would be great to have a shot of everyone that was there on the participants list.

Here is the quick panoramic I shot at high resolution...
