Pat and I finally found our way back home today about 3:00pm.

Dave and Kate, thanks for organizing another great gathering. :applause: :applause:

We had a great last campfire Monday night with Al and Leslie and Tom and Sandy (of course, after the afternoon rain shower ended....).

Trying to kayak and fish between rain showers made it a little more difficult to visit everyone this year.... and WOW, were there a lot of folks to visit! But, there's nothing like meeting new teardroppers and visiting with old friends.

Not sure why, but we lost the t-shirt contest to the Bel Canto Girls. Youth beats us old fogies I guess... (mind you we had a score of 4.8 out of 5)

Let get camping!

TearUp Article in the Press Republican

Jacks article on teardrop trailers at the TearUp was in the paper today. See it online at
http://www.pressrepublican.com/archives ... 23343.html

Don Sellick made the front page photo, Mary and bob, and Eric Patterson are on page 5.

Lots of missinformation unfortunately. All teardrops apparently have stainless steel galleys, 110V hookup and no room for anything but a coffee pot and an alarm clock

Was disappointed that he didn't even bother to mention the name of the event or the TearUp website.. brother (but did mention Mikes site, the Tear Jerkers site and Tadpole Trailers)

We got this very nice email from the food pantry....sorry that it is addressed to us personally but they did know it was from a group of campers!!!!

Dear Ed and Becky,
The Ecumenical Charity Program thanks you for your donation of food and $80.00. Without the support and donations and volunteers, the program would no be possible. During the month of June, 2009, the Food Pantry was able to assist 166 households consisting of 234 children and 275 adults, distributing 499 bags of food. In addition to food the Ecumenical Charity Program also assisted with energy costs, transportation, rental costs, etc. Due to the increase, again, in costs of energy, the Ecumenical Charity Program has expended more monies this year than in previous years. The Ecumenical Charity Program has also found that state organizations that granted $12,000 to the program last year have cut the program to$7,000 (a loss of $5,000) at the time of definite concern on the needs of those who are working for minimum wages or lost of their jobs/and or have had their work hours reduced. Food prices are also escalating due to increased energy costs while wages are not increasing or are becoming non-existent. The majority of those benefitting from the Ecumenical Charity Program are those individuals who work in restaurants, stores, motels, hotels, etc.
They are working individuals in need. All those who work for, support and use the Ecumenical Charity Program are thankful for you donations.

Again we thank you for you donation. With your generous donation, The Ecumenical Charity Program is able to carry on with its mission of helping those who are in need.

Sincerely,

Judith A. Clausing- Lundin
Secretary

Note: The Ecumenical Charity Program has not provided Ed and Becky Murray in whole or in part, any goods or services in exchange for their donation.

Dave ,
Real nice job on the video and slide show..
Do you have a website that you post your pictures on individually? You have some really nice shots of Valerie, us and the Metz - FAR better than the ones we take. Would love to get copies of them for the scrap book.

Thanks for a great camp-out. Hope to make it to Cranberry Lake....
