A little rain won't stop our fun, bring an extra tarp! Been waiting since the tear up for the tear down. Our secret, we purchased a 25ft camper this summer, still like the tear drop. We are not scared, we are going to be there to fight the cold!!!

Well, the Sunspot isn't quite a Teardrop, but it's the same interior floorspace (4.5 feet x 10 feet). It's just got a squidge more headroom at 54 inches.

I'm hoping to leave Syracuse by 11:30 Friday; should be in Cranberry Lake by 3 or so. Buying the chili fixin's tonight!

Rick Sheerin wrote:After discussing it with other members at the Tear-up, it's official, October 2-4 will be the dates for our NYS TearJerkers Fall Camporee at Cranberry Lake SP. We will be scouting out some sites within the next couple weeks and will post them so everyone can start making reservations. For those of you who have never been to the ADKs in the fall, you really must go, there is no place like it. Also, seeing it is a bit chilly that time of year, I'm thinking about having some special sweatshirts made up for the occasion, details to come. Any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM

What is the usual schedule on Saturday night? Unfortunately we have to run to Watertown for a few hours mid-morning, then race back to Cranberry for the afternoon :?

Might have to leave the stew Susan is making with you all while we're gone

We'll be on the road 7-8am from Cobleskill...see you all there!

We plan to arrive sometime in the afternoon to pre-head the Airstream.

Currently enjoying a fine morning blizzard here in Lake Placid. No accumulation, but seeing big fluffy snowflakes October 1st is kinda neat!

After all the rain this summer... might not mind the snow. Might have to buy some lifa (winter undergarments) to keep warm before heading out from LP tomorrow. It snowed here from 7am to about 2pm this afternoon.

Bring you wooly hats, ski pants.

Diane, be sure to bring your teardrop slippers to keep your toes warm!

Everybody be sure to buy a whack of wood so we can keep a bonfire going over the weekend too.

We should be able to get some heat off of Cranberry Lake to keep warm too.

I'm leaving Ottawa around 4:30 if I'm lucky. If the border isn't busy and I resist my urge to buy out Aldi and P&C in Ogdensburg, I should be rolling in at 7:30, which appears to be just after dark. A friend is supposed to get some wood and food on the way in, so if you see a beige truck on my site (39) before me, it's okay. If he doesn't come, I'll need to get some wood too.

I have a quick question regarding alcohol. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to bring a little wine, or are these events non-alcohol?

See you in 24h.

We are going to leave around 2pm, so we should be there around 4ish? Bringing a lot because we are bringing the Scamp! lol Hope it snows rather than rains. No kayaks this time. Maybe we'll hike Bear Mt. Sat morning if the weather is good. If not, we'll read and keep a fire going. I'm going to buy some propane just in case it does rain all the time. Chili is made, now we have to pack! :applause:

Alls good with the booze, I think we're all of age but if it makes you feel better I'll ask for everyone's ID when you arrive :tipsy:

Non alco? ha ha. Did you see the photos of 2 tables full of wine at the TearUp?

No doubt 'refreshments' will be spotted!
