Aw man, Tanya and I can't make it and site #60 is still open (must be a reason). We'll be at the Spamboree that weekend on the left Coast. Maybe next year. Never been to a "pot-luck" breakfast.

Hey Joseph, where in the Southwest you guys planning on being. We're going to be in Cottonwood, AZ (just down the road from Sedona) the last weekend of Sept. at the AZ Round-Up.

Have a good day.

Hopefully, I'll get a chance to see those fenders you've been working on.

I'm thinking about making some changes to my TD next spring and that might be a good time to install new fenders.

Kerry-Glad to hear you're coming to the Teardown! From what I remember #60 is a decent size site.

Well, just got informed today that our regional manager does not want anyone off on that weekend! :x So, at least for now (never know around where I work) we will not be attending the Teardown event this year! :(

Pot-luck brunch sounds fantastic! Diane says she'll have to think about what to make. and we're down with the P.O.D.S. boycott!!!
We are putting both dogs in the kennel for the weekend so we won't be tied to our campsite. With that said I know Diane is going to be in a shopping mood ( more chachkie !!).

Steve- Can't promise anything but we have been working feverishly on the fandrop as of late. We got the aluminum side panels up and trimmmed out. Need to put on the roof panels and trim later this week. Diane is going to put on another coat of shellac on the interior tomorrow. It is going to be close, so we shall see. You will definately be the first one to see it.

No we wanna see it first! We'll race Steve to Nicks. Probably going to do a stop over at Fish Creek on the way done if its nice on Thursday.

Keep up the good work Rick and Diane! You're just like OC Choppers now... always a deadline to meet! Pay aint so good though...

We 'might' end up with a new tow vehicle for the TearDown. Looking at a used GMC Yukon V8 bully of an SUV... probably will thrash about the tear.. but will be able to pull the 'other' new beast later this fall.

We've been busy camping and going down to Lake Placid. Spent a few days on the new Fish Creek Site... check it out... its pretty fun. Lots of photos of all the campsites. Kate is suggesting we chose sites in the 140's next year for variety. Those sites also get more morning sun, moon viewing opportunities, least amount of wind and best of all.. NO RAIN

How much does that Bambi weigh? Is your Liberty a Diesel? I was just reading an atricle in "Diesel World" magazine that shows a guy who uses a Liberty to tow a 5000lb tandem axle box trailer daily. The only mods were an exhaust system and a programmer.

I'm looking at 3/4ton Diesels (at the very least) to tow that 31ft Sovereign.

Bambi will weigh in about 4,100lbs loaded.

We were just out tonight at a dealer looking to replace our gas Liberty with a GMC Yukon with a V8. Liberty doesn't have quite the towing capacity, power or wheelbase to haul an Airstream.

Bet the Yukon it is gonna tow the heck out of the tear now! LOL
