Lewey lake works for us, we like the distance from our house.

Wow, I wish I could come to the Teardown, but I have a Blues festival to attend in (of all places) Bean Blossom, Indiana.

This is the original site of the Bill Monroe Bluegrass festival (in the Spring) but it has been used for the fall Blues festival for the past 9 years.

What a hoot it is. (4) days of campin', jammin' and listening to great blues artists. This all within a confined campground and music park. ( great set up)

I get to wail on my harmonica and play my guitar. Sometimes the jams go on (almost) all night. I try to get to bed about 3:00 or 4:00 on those nights. (do I look tired)?

This follows the Madison, Indiana Blues, BBQ and Balloons festival in August along the Ohio River.

Lots of fun to be had around here but I really like the adventures in ADK land too.

I might be havin' too much fun, but don't tell Jeanie. She's back to work on August 12 so she can't attend the summer and fall festivals.

As of July 31 , I'll be officially retired and plan to enjoy it to the fullest. I still need to "cook" and "clean" per our agreement so Jeanie can have a less stressful school year.

She's really good about my attendance to the Tearjerkers and blues festivals, and that allows me to feel good about enjoying the people at the gatherings.

I'm looking forward (already) to the spring Tearup.

Have a good time at the Tear down; I'll be thinking about you all.

Lewey Lake is fine with us for the 1st weekend of Sept. We have reservation at Eighth Lake for the week before. Will go to Fish Creek after the Teardown for a week or two.

Was great to see everyone at the Tearup.

Arrived home last night from our two month roadtrip. Teardropping is fun!

About two hours south of Fish Creek on Rte 30.

Since no one made a commitment , we'll be at Lewy Lake, if anyone cares to join us.:ilovecamp:
We usually camp on the water. On the Southwest side of the lake.

Steve, we like your initiative. We just got back from several weeks in Michigan and I was thinking of posting like you did!

We'll plan to camp at Lewey Lake Fri-Sat nights (5th & 6th) with you and Phyllis, even if no one else shows up.

Are you referring to the shore of Lewey Lake or Indian Lake? We camped there only once (site 97) on the south/west shore of Lewey.

Are you making a reservation or just winging it? It looks like some of the sites in the 90's/100's are taken

If possible, let me know before Wed as we'll be heading up to Eighth Lake for a week starting this friday. We'll go from there to the Teardown or mini-teardown. Then on to Fish Creek.

Didn't receive a lot of response and we've been away so much, so have been putting off posting anything further. Unfortunately our chances of making it aren't very good this year either due to work.

Will monitor this thread though in case we can make it last minute.

Lewy, on the southwest shore.
Let's check on available sites!

edit; 95,99 available, we have 97.
