The Tear-up was just amazing--wish I could have stayed through Monday!
I'm so glad that after four years of life-intervening mishaps, I *finally* got to attend! Wonderful people, beautiful campground...and Kate brought warm chocolate chip cookies through the campsites just in time for Saturday morning coffee. :applause:

My only regret was that I didn't get to spend more time visiting with everyone (just not enough hours in the day!)

Thanks to everyone for such a *great* time!

Hi fellow soggy TearUp campers! Just back... what a blast this year!

Left kinda late... about 1pm just as the rain started to fall on Pat and Mark, Al and Leslie Spur, Sandy and Tom, and late arrival Walter who are staying another night.

After talking to various campers, it became apparent that lots of folk just plain like where we camped this year! So we have decided not to change the location! Same sites as this year for next.

Next years dates by the way are the weekend of June 11-13, although many campers will likely book a few extra days, as usually is the case. This year for example, about a third of campers arrived on the Wednesday. Booking should be done almost to the day, 9 months in advance. ie to arrive on Wed June 9, 2010 you need to book on Sep 9, 2009. I'll be sending out an email to remind people of the booking date in order that we try to snag as many sites together as possible .

I took over 500 photos over the event. Will be posting shortly, along with some fun video.

Thanks again for all who attended! What a great bunch of folk and friends!

Cheers

Hi all. I really enjoyed meeting so many of you this weekend. I'm sure I probably missed a few of you. It was so great to get to check out lots of different trailers.I learned LOTS this weekend. Thanks to all of you for graciously giving me a tour and sharing info and advice with me. As a newbie I really appreciated it. Despite the soggy weather I still had fun. Just got home from ADK a couple hours ago and just finished unpacking the car. The tent is currently drying out and so am I. Fortunately we had no leaks! Hopefully next year I'll be able to join you in the Scotty. I won't mind as much if it rains then! I hope everyone got home safe.
Thanks Dave & Kate for putting together a great gathering! :applause:

Just updating the list of campers from this year along with a few emails.

Somehow I didn't get the name of this couple. Can someone help me out?
Think they were on 266. My bad for forgetting

Image

Also looking for email addresses for the following campers:
Bruce from Oregon
Yoyoman (Norbet)
Arne
Al & Leslie (Camp-Inn)

An other question... was there someone camping besides Dave and Monica who had the Wazat Microlite on site 210? ie was there someone on 209?

Who was besides Elaine? or was there an empty site between her and Greg/Richalien and Valerie?

If I am right, the final count was 53 trailers and 99 campers.

A few people asked about the lovely trailer slippers won by Diane Sheerin...

You can find them at Vroomers at http://www.vroomersonline.com/

Thanks

Just got home a couple of hours ago after 1833 miles to ADK and back. It was well worth the drive! Thanks so much to everyone for welcoming us with open arms - we didn't know a soul when we arrived, but we left with a bunch of dear friends. We sure are looking forward to next year's TearUp - hopefully with more sun. :worship:

We'll see y'all then!

Take care,

I believe the name of the man in the picture is David - we didn't meet her, though.

Wasn't Elaine's friend Fred between her and Greg, Richalien and Valerie? (He was in a tent).

Hope this helps!

Thats right! His name was David. Fred was on Elaines site since you can have a trailer and one or 2 tents on one site.

By the way, John and Ivy actually sold their 6.6" tear (it was blue with one door) while there to the people on the neighbour site. Was funny to see them leave tearless.

PS. Welcome back Susan!
