When are the two of you arriving? We should be there by noon!

We should there Thursday, about noon too.

Sounds great! I have to stop in Long Lake just north of the bridge to check on one of my crews as we are starting a job there of self-storage units going up where the old hardware store was. See ya Thursday.

For every campsite who donates to the food pantry, they will get their site number entered into a drawing for a very lovely hand-made gift..... 8)

1 entry per site please..... :applause:

Please do not bring the food items to our site until Saturday morning, we will not have a place to store it overnight on Friday....thank you!!!

Postby campadk » Tue Jun 08, 2010 2:18 pm

Picked up 2 cases of TearUp Mugs yesterday. We have been trying them with much success! Not a single leak!

Here Kate poses for a 'mug' shot...

Have been sick for three days. Went to the Dr. today and he gave me some medicine. Hopefully I'm better in time for this weekend! Can't wait! Only question is to bring the Teadrop or the Scamp?

I've been warned about taking fresh produce, meat and milk products over the border...(even tho most of that stuff comes from U.S. anyway.). So , we plan to stock up on the U.s. side.

We'll be travelling down NY-68to 56 to 3 to 30. Anybody got an idea of where we can find a well stocked grocery store? Does Tupper lake have a fairly decent one? Didn't pay attention last time, but then we didn't get checked at the border...

In addition, there are a Price Chopper, Aldi and P&C in Ogdensburg (just as you cross the border).

There is a P&C in Canton along 68 (where 68 goes toward Colton and 11 goes to Potsdam).

If you like Walmart SuperCentres, there is one along Hwy 11 west of Potsdam. It would mean altering your route a little and adding 13km to your trip. You would stay on 11 East instead of following 68 south. From there you can continue on 11 east and meet up with 56 in downtown Potsdam, which will connect with 3 in Sevey's Corners.

I think the nearest Wegman's is in Cicero! "Inside joke" for those from Central NY. 8)

If you're not signed up... well its never too late!

See everyone there!

I am still hoping to be able to make at least one night of the Tear-up - but as seems to happen to me, life is getting kind of complicated. My new boss is traveling up from NJ to meet me and scheduled the visit for late Thursday afternoon - so I can't use the vacation day I had scheduled for today to drive up. Two of my older uncles are coming to town this weekend (so I will have to leave camp early.) My reservation for site 228 was for today, but the *earliest* I will get there if things don't spiral completely out of control is Friday night and I have to leave on Saturday.

I may end up just driving up for the day...

Postby Jim49 » Thu Jun 10, 2010 7:14 am

Well it has officially started :applause: . Sorry to say Sue and I will not be able to get there till tomorrow afternoon (work), although I will be packing the car this morning. TheresaD we are planning to see you friday evening  with some New England beers. We have our food pantry donations packed and ready to go, also have our Wine and Cheese for Saturday evening :wine: as well as our Steal a Gift. Our only hope is that it will not rain too much. Looking forward to seeing Alan & Leslie new Kayaks. So don't use up all the good weather before we get there.
