NYS Fall Camporee at Moreau Lake SP Oct 1-3 2010

OK folks, here are the details- Moreau Lake SP in the south eastern part the Adirondacks Oct 1-3. Our good friends Ed & Becky did the leg work on checking out this park and they highly recommend it! Here's some of what they had to say:

Loops C & D are open & C&D are the best & D is the best of those 2. Each loop has brand new bathrooms, shower, soap, hand dryers, etc-spotless!!! & even a small outdoor utility sink on the back of each building to wash dishes in. This is a beautiful campground, the sites are very large & well maintained. On the map it does look as if some of the sites are on the water but they are not, the sites are elevated pretty high from the water. Hiking is very popular here & there are many beautiful trails & canoes & kayaks love it-no motors at all allowed.

They also suggested that if you plan on coming, book your site early as they close half the park after labor day and sites are limited.

I have booked site 63 in loop D so that will give us a good starting point.
Hope to see you there!

And thanks again to Ed and Becky for checking out the park, you guys are the best!

I have a bunch of photos of sites. I'll post whatever I have when we return on Monday.

I see sites 68, 69, and 51 are reserved, anyone we know? If so, let me know, so I can add you to the list of attendees. :D

I see Dick & Faith as the people listed for #68 & I know Bob & Mary are on 51 but they were stopping to look yesterday to see if they liked another site better ;)

Tear Down

Postby bellatear » Sat Jun 19, 2010 4:29 pm

We took a drive thru Moreau on our way home today. The crowd is just a bit differant from what you will see here in October. Tonight is the Phish concert at SPAC, looks like a party at Moreau. Since it will be quieter in October and the crowd may just be friendlier we decided to book a campsite, so to make my long story short we are on site 72, see you all in October! :campfire:
