Wayne: You should still have wood since you had Lise and Morgan dragging all kinds of downed trees out of the woods, plus driftwood off the beach! got any of that nice cherry scraps left

I dont think you'll find Lise looking for anymore firewood, after the two plus weeks of poison oak she's suffered.
And yes I do have more cherry scrap. That's whats in the van.

mary and bob wrote:We have stopped at that place for wood, but usually miss it, and I know there is a sign out along the road. He sells in various quantities, and as I recall they were real nice to deal with. I only remember that it's on the right coming out of the village of Tupper Lake, and is down off the road. I seem to recall that a previous year someone [I'll accuse Dave of it] had posted a map with the location on it. We'll just go sit at someone elses fire. Bob

As per above Bob...

In the question box enter: wood

Includes a map for 'John' in Tupper.

 Can't wait to get going. I'm tired but I can't sleep because I keep running through my checklist in my head. Have a few things to throw into the camper in the morning. Gave up when it started raining and the lightning got scary. My friend Margaret is driving up and meeting me here in the morning and we'll be heading off. Lets hope that this year's trip up is uneventful and we make it up there as scheduled tomorrow. :worship:
I have my beer chilling, wine ready to uncork, and my food for the pantry ready to go. Now all I need to do is get some sleep so I can drive up there!

See you all Thursday afternoon! Safe travels everyone!

We had fun, even with the rain. Trailer and tent stayed bone dry. Met a lot of great folks, had a great time, slept better than I've ever slept in a tent!

Gee, there were mosquitoes there?!? Oh wait a minute, scritch, scritch, scratch, scratch. Now I remember.

We never had a chance to meet Dave and Kathy. Some of it was just the rain, some of it was visiting my niece who lives in Saranac Lake and it a part owner of Nori's, the health food store downtown there. She came by Saturday and stayed a while just chatting sitting by the pond, then we went into Saranac Saturday so we weren't sitting around in the rain at camp. Lo and behold, there was a soggy farmer's market there, where we bought lots of neat and unusual stuff, then off to Nori's for lunch, where I had a tempe reuben (made with cultured soy...). If I was blind, I could never had told it was fake. They specialize in vegetarian and gluten-free stuff. We also bought a bunch of neat stuff there!

I'm not much of a drinker usually, but did participate in Friday and Saturday night's drinking festivities. Man o man, I slept good!

I was also impressed with the gift exchange, particularly the first one :clapping hands:

I was very impressed with that big elaborately decorated box that made the rounds and was eventually VERY carefully unwrapped to reveal an awesome gift.

We had the best kind of trip home - uneventful. As we traveled down the Northway we passed a few trailers (NOT tnttt's) off the side of the road with either flats or frozen bearings. Hard to tell at 70 mph...

Next we will be at Keuka State Campground July 12-21. Things will be set up there somewhat different, but as we keep improving Spot, and our ttt camping set up, there will be pictures.

Thanks all,

Frank
