Hey gang,

We had a great time at the West VA Fall Foliage Gathering this weekend. We arrived Saturday night, just in time for the pot luck! It was down in the mid-30's Saturday night (used a ceramic heater from Walmart; it worked great), beautiful weather, great folks, and many, many campers! This was the 2nd outing for the Weekender-for-5, but its first teardrop gathering! Anyway, here are some pictures!

Here's some shots of the Weekender-for-5 in camp:

Hey Sharon,

We had such a good time, kids had a lot of fun. The weather was beautiful and the Autumn colors were awesome. It got down to about 35 degrees, but a little Walmart ceramic heater kept us all warm. The camper was very comfortable. This was our 2nd outing in the camper, but our first teardrop gathering in the camper. All in all, it was a much better experience over the first trip, which was too hot in the middle of Summer. Great folks, good food, over 25 campers. Nice campground, with a playground in the middle of the loop for the kids. It was about 5 hours away from Western NC, nice trip through beautiful mountains and hills. Very nice weekend!

AL

Looks like a nice time. I'm from Braxton County just a few miles away. It's been a while since I stayed there, but it is a nice place. We generally rough it on the Williams or Cranberry rivers.

Hey Dabber,
We camp up on the Cranberry every once awhile. We have one spot where we can get down in the pools of the creek also. We live off of Hwy41 (Armstrong Rd.) between Summersville and Craigsville. We do some rural camping below the Summersville Dam too, they have 19 spots of free camping there. During the Gauley season it's packed with rafters.
If you look at my photobucket campouts you'll see or camping trip to Cranberry with our h/b t/d "Costta Lotta". Our '47 KenSkill is called the "Chateau". Why don't you come over to TearJerkers and sign up and post in the Mountaineers of Wv. section? Pm me with your # so we could talk, Thanks.
