Angie, in case you haven't noticed, Slow seems to be a wee bit nervous about meeting people. At times, he's mentioned he may not be at the Walk The Winds....So, the fact that he did make it is GREAT NEWS!!!!!

I'm sure he'll have fun and will be ready to host the 2nd annual Walk The Winds next year!!!

Suckerpunched's comment about "this is your baby" cracked me up. I can only imagine Sucker walking up to Slow and giving him plenty of crap.

Well I got word from Slow today. Its hazy from fires but everyone's having fun. Showed up early yesterday morning due to getting caught up on work before he left. He wound up with a trip to Ace Hardware due to an issue with the trailer. Ranchers are running their cattle in the forest up there. More sightings of cattle than bears . Slow sounded really relaxed and happy.

Nancy has been in school since Monday and teaching since Wednesday, wish we could be there so it has to be vicarious.

I am home today at 1 pm. I am now unloaded at 3. and the teardrop gathering

was a total success I am wore out but very happy with lots of stories and photos and lots of new wonderful freinds that are not new.

but walk the winds was a small teardrop gathering that was real freindly and everyone got to meet every single person and meet every single teardrop and was small and very laid back and was

a total sucess and a small but mighty gathering that rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you know what I am digging in the freezer looking for a nother roast.

that roast was a great eat and fun to cook at the gathering.

I am addicted now to dotch ovens. I got home and sat my bob henry ductch oven table up by the door of the house on the patio and I am planning on a another do roast when angie gets up here wedsday.

what a way to meet my folks for her over a do roast.

I got coke left from walk the winds. and pauls light style charcoal.

I will leave the light stly charcoal OFF my coleman stove.

that was hilarous at pauls putting litght stle charchal on my coleman stove in my charchal starter!!!!!!!!!!!!

but I am now in to this strick a match and light the charchaol thingy!!!!!!!

I am going to experment again with a new roast when I get a escuse soon and get that dutch owen in to regular use!!!

oh, yea we all ate that roast down to the bones at the gathering.

we got a good photo of what was left of the roast for bob henry to show him how good that roast was and his cooking method.

and the bees loved his coke cooked roast too!!!!!!!!
