I called the campground owner and asked if she was dead set on that April 8th deadline and she said that it was NOT set in stone but should make as soon as possible so we can all be in a group. So don't anyone feel they HAVE to make it by the 8th.

Good to see that there is a good group starting to form.

Lake of the Ozarks Campout Canoe Trip

Postby Auntiemofks » Thu Apr 02, 2009 1:50 pm

Ok, Jeff, you and Anna both better be at the Mom's Day Campout since Mark and I have reserved our space. We will be bringing our own kayaks to use - just not sure about taking a canoe this late in life.

Are you making any plans for a big pot luck Saturday night?

Keep us posted on the plan of events.

Thanks for your work.

newbee !

Postby LarryB » Fri Apr 03, 2009 2:46 pm

Looks like I'll be the newbee to the group as this will be my first camp out with a tear drop. looks like I'll be your neighbor Ray I have site 24. I'll probably do a test camp out before then, I went to Robertsville State park today and it was getting beautiful and it's only a mile and a half from my Daughter and her husband. I figure if I camp there I can go to their house for supper and get a free hot meal that I don't have to fix. and if it gets tooo cold I'll just stay there LOL. just driving through the park made me ready to start camping, they were a lot of people camped there already... but no tear drops....

Well nuts! We can't make it, we'll be in Amana, Iowa that weekend. After six years our middle godchild Molly Hammer has revived her Patsy Cline show and that's something we just can't miss!

This is from the last time she did the show:

Oarks gathering

Postby queeniejeanne » Fri Apr 10, 2009 8:23 am

Since we were given site 29 in March I called the campground...They are out today but well be back this evening and return calls. great if we are doubled but we should know about it going into the sites. Maybe Warpony would have some answers. And we will all get to be close then :shake hands: : Borrowed two yaks so I don't have to watch from the sidelines, :applause:

Riverfront called me just now and said only those that request doubling or want next to each other will be put like that. We had been moved to site 31 because she needed it for someone else requesting closeness. We are all so BIG. lol lol lol....... :grouch day1: This weather is killing me...cold, rain, storms, tornadoes, Glad we weren't at Bever's Bend last night...tornado hit Mena and Talahina areas. Thanks, Queenie. I was told that we would each have our own sites so that makes me feel better that you got that all cleared up.
