We should be arriving Thursday afternoon and are looking forward to meeting everyone.

Slow you asked for a food list/signup so guess I'll start this off. I have no idea how to make a editable list here, maybe someone can set it up. Here's what we'll bring

Saturday Pot Luck Dinner
Beef Chili

Sunday Breakfast
Shredded Chedar Cheese

We'll be bringing our Cowboy Pie, which is a great recipe - kind of a ground meat stew with beans, pepper jack cheese and maybe onions or musrooms. It's good! Kind of like chili but not as spicy.

For breakfasts we have some nice dried hash browns that we got at the Cody KOA - its an interesting way to make hash browns without needing a fridge or freezer. We have a lot so we can make a lot. We've tried them on two camping trips and they're GOOD! We also have turkey bacon and I think some sausages.

Just like last year, Liz will have her birthday at Walk-the-Winds, so we'll probably bring a cake!

LANTERN FOLKS!

Postby Martinjmpr » Tue Aug 13, 2013 12:09 pm

I haven't had the time to try to work on my old Coleman 242 single burner. I may try to get started on disassembly but I will probably need some help. I'm going to bring the lantern, and will try to work on it Saturday. Will anybody there have your tools? I could probably use some help!

I'm getting ready to leave:
Randy - the wine is in the car.
Will - I am stopping by JR's Texas Bar-B-Que on the way out of town. It should hold until Thursday in my cooler. I don't have a Dutch Oven, so you'll have to do the reheating.
I'm bring dessert for the Pot Luck and grated cheddar cheese for the egg breakfast, in addition to whatever else I can fit in my cooler.

See you all Thursday.

on Thursday. ... Planning on cooking a Pork Roast in the Dutch oven for the Saturday potluck meal. On Sunday we
would like to do a Mt. Man Breakfast also in the Dutch oven. Looking forward to meeting you all in a couple of days. :D

@WIll I've been reading the posts from 2012 and saw your comment "Lovely Assistant sez that I sound like a musical chainsaw!!" . Saddly when my sinuses act up I've been told I sound like a runaway freight train. They may need to set up a special area for us. I'll bring extra ear plugs for those that can't handle it.
