Slow,

I have the picture in my signature hanging in my office.
Look at it every day and think about great camp outs in the past and dreaming about future camp outs
when I need a few minutes to de-compress.

Like "Mordor v3.1 September 13-16"coming up next... 8)

Don't care where, haven't been to WTW yet. This year is the year! Just waiting for the announcement of the dates...

Reservations for New Fork Lake Group Campground cost $35 per day/night. Thursday July 18 to Saturday July 20, 2019 is already booked. All the other July, 2019 weekends are still available. Maybe someone who wants to attend Walk The Winds 2019 could make the reservation (on their credit card - to be repaid/reimbursed later), instead of Slow fronting the cost? Two days would cost $70.

It's an idea that could help make WTW 2019 happen.

The 4th of July weekend is an available three day (or longer) weekend. 7/12&13 and 7/26&27, 2019 are also available. Any of the three available weekends could be extended to be longer gatherings if people want to do it.

I posted the above information to help enable WTW to happen before the still available dates slip away. I live much too far away to attend. Teardrop gatherings are a lot of fun. Friends and I organized three SLO Gatherings that were well attended. Hope WTW 2019 happens and that we all can enjoy it whether we attend WTW, or vicariously enjoy reading about it and seeing photos and/or a video about it.

Okay, I'll volunteer. My preference would be Thurs, Fri & Sat, July 11, 12 & 13. , but any open weekend in July is fine by me. I like the extra day on the front end. Of course, if you're not there on Thursday, you don't owe me.

Let's take the next week to nail this down. Post to state your prefs, or can't-make-it dates. On Dec 26, I'll reserve the dates that includes Slow Cowboy and the most other people.

Hi Brad,

Thanks for offering to make a reservation for WTW 2019. All three weekends still available in July could have unreserved days before and after Sat. and Sun. I enjoyed meeting and chatting with you at IRG. I live much too far away from WTW to be able to attend.

Steve

Steve, it'd be good to see you again. You're closer than I am, I think. You're about 3 degrees farther north and about the same east-west offset. All you need is for the boss to give you a few days off. :D

There is a little conversation starting here in Illinois. A few may be interested in coming in July. No promises yet, but pick a weekend and we will see if it can be fit into a trip.

I like July 12-14 for 2 reasons: it's open, and the Cross Roads of America is on the weekend following. That makes it possible for those of us traveling vast distances to squeeze in another gathering, and it makes it possible for the Illinoisians to make both. :D

Are you checking the regular campsites, or the group site?

If July 12-14 is open, planning around CRA would make sense.
