Wisconsin's Black River State Forest Camping Trip

Anywhere in the country is fine. Where do you want to camp?

Postby TPMcGinty » Fri Jul 11, 2008 5:11 am

Just checked the Wisconsin State campground reservation site and it looks like the Castle Mound Campground is starting to fill up for the weekend of the 18-21 of July.

Tim,
Haven't heard from you lately.
I suppose you are busy finishing up the teardrop huh? Will you have it done on time?
Hope we can get a spot without a reservation. It get spendy enough without reservation fees too.
See you Sun. :)

Hey Toby and Sue!

If your showing up on Sunday afternoon there are a bunch of campsites still open. If you want to get there on Friday or Saturday the choices are getting very limited. I'm still working on my tear so keep your fingers crossed. I still have a bunch of things I need to do to it before Sunday.

Looks great Tim! Good job.
So you will have it this week end right?
Does Baron have Lymes Discease? We miss the old fella. Are you bringing him?
I talked to the park today, and she said it shouldn't be a problem if we don't have a reservation. Famous last words.
By the looks of the t.v. you are really going to be roughing it.
Did you get an electric site?

Yes unfortunately Baron has Lyme Disease. He is now on anti-biotics as well as all his other meds. I will still be bringing him. It doesn't seem to be slowing him down much. Besides I need him to guard my tent in case Lori or Betsey want to set it on fire! I didn't get an electric site. I'm in site #31. Try to get a site as close to 31 as possible! I don't think getting a site on Sunday will be a problem either. The people who might have problems are the ones that want a site on Friday or Saturday nights. I will keep my fingers crossed for them!

WHAT?!? Thats bull!! :?
Get out side and do something!! I don't care what you accomplish, just do something!!

 Best of wishes for finishing the tear. Wonder what it would be like, looking back and remembering the "First St. Croix Tearjerkers Gathering" and trying to explain to people that you went in a tent because you didn't want to finish your trailer.

;) :)

You better get out there and finish that trailer.
I suppose today you will say it's raining?
Good luck.

I guess I lied a little. I've been trying to get the door hinges sealed and I'm having trouble. I guess if I can't get it fixed it will just be one more reason to camp in a tent at BRSF.

Oh, drag it along and bring an EZ-Up to put over it. Craig can take a look at it and give you some suggestions. Trust me, he won't mind....occupational hazard....

OK. I've been trying to play it off that it isn't going to be ready for BRSF (Lori says I was overdoing it), but truthfully all I have left to do is fix the hinge leak problem. I know Craig will help me with it. He is great about that! ;)

Ah, a plot to try and throw us off guard so that we wouldn't be prepared with TP....

Sorry, ain't gonna work...I've been a Boy Scout since I was 6, so I am ALWAYS prepared...
