Missouri

Anywhere in the country is fine. Where do you want to camp?

Any gatherings in or near the southeast corner of Missouri? Have never been to one but would love to go.

I used to live at Caruthersville, but I'm originally from Paragould and in Stuttgart now. Is there anywhere up there to get together?

I'd like to see the ITG in Branson next year. We used to have motorcycle rallys up there and there tons of stuff to see and do.

near Branson!

Hey now.... somewhere with a few miles of Branson sounds like a great idea... pretty central for lots of people, mostly the central states. Lots to do in the area too...

Missouri gathering

Postby BrwBier » Wed Nov 09, 2005 8:01 am

Central or southwest Missouri would be a great place for a gathering. May I suggest Lake Of The Ozarks. One of my favorite places in the world. Late April or early May is a very nice time of year in that area.

Lake of the Ozarks/Branson would be a great place! Also the Johnson Shut-ins over to the Southeast would be an awesome place. Let's get some more input on this and try and plan something for April/May...

MOKAN

Postby oklahomajewel » Thu Jan 19, 2006 10:13 pm

There was a MO-KAN initial gathering last fall, and I went too (they welcomed an Okie gal!) And we talked about Grand Lake up near Tulsa, but not really anywhere else I remember. So I have spoken with someone else about making a MOKAN group "Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas neighbors"

Whaddya think?

DAVE, I was there on an archeological dig in Sept 2004. It is EXACTLY, the same as it was in 1958. :( It does now have a Mc Donald's on post. I think I also saw a Wendy's.

April/May is too soon for me, I won't be finished by then. Something later in the year, maybe in the fall. The leaves will be pretty and it won't be quite so hot as the summer. What do you think?

Hello,

Newbie here. Look forward to a gathering so I can look at some home-builts up close. Get some ideas, pick some brains.

Johnson Shut-Ins is a no-go until 2008 because the campground got wiped out when the damn broke. Some great times there when I was a kid. Looking forward to when it reopens.

I too would love to see a event in MO. There are many great sites. It all depends what everyone wants. We have great state parks and there are hundreds of private campgrounds.
I just need to get mine done and start camping.
