Anywhere in the country is fine. Where do you want to camp?

8) How is everyone doing? It's been a while since I've posted, but the plans are still on for a gathering. Because of all the bots & spamming on Nanny's Niche, Dean has temporarily closed it down because it was getting to be a real hassle. Please feel free to post under this section or PM me until we get the NN problems resolved.

Thanks for checking in! :R Joanie

Man! It eats at me every time there is a gathering in NorCal. Along with Yellowstone those are the 2 must makes before I die! Only prob is that I want it now while my children are young enough to put a trip like that in their childhood files! 3000 miles is a long haul for me and will take some major planning and saving.Maybe in a few more years...

Thanks Bobby!!!
It's nice to know that the new setup will not have the spambot problems that the old format had.

NEWEST NEWS ON RUSTIC WHITETHORN GATHERING

Postby The Teardrop Nanny » Sat Mar 28, 2009 10:15 pm

8) Happy Spring to all of you!
Just got off the phone with Gene & Eddie who are looking forward to hosting you at the CloudWalker Ranch Rustic Gathering. The guys have spent time preparing sites for TD trailers and tent campers. They have a web site now where you can contact them directly www.napavalleyspice.com/rwr.html

:R The property will have plenty of firewood, an area to fill up your water container (sink/H2o) and a NEW outhouse and one porta potty. Eddie can order up a second porta potty if necessary, but needs to have more people RSVP to see if he's going to have 30 sites filled.

You can arrive earlier than the weekend, Wed./Thurs, and enjoy plenty of peace and quiet, or come for the weekend. Eddie plans to have signs posting the way once you get to the turnoff at the Shelter Cove Road junction. He will be releasing the address and directions shortly. You can PM me for more information or to RSVP, or go to the website and make your reservation there. There will be a Saturday Potluck, hopefully featuring dutch oven cooking. Come help Gene celebrate his 64th Birthday and mine as well.

Joanie :R

The event was GREAT! When you come to the IRG, I'll introduce you to the host(s) of this gathering and you can ask if they'll do it again (They have not been able to the last year).
