8th Beavers Bend Gathering March 22-24 2013

Beavers Bend is only a week away and so far the weather forecast looks nice.

Thank you Woody and Tom for offering to cover the cost for empty sites for Friday night. Usually if someone no shows we don't have to worry about the park filling them on Saturday. Sometimes it is late afternoon before I pay up so that drags out the fact that they are empty.
I will not cancel them. Hopefully we will have some last minute folks pulling in.

We are finishing up the new teardrop, Canvas sides almost finished. Bed needs to be finished but the foam will be covered with a sheet this trip.

Ready to do some camping and see everyone. Charles needs the weekend to rest as it seems this is the only way he will take a break.

I've been to this gathering about six times. I have a major auction deadline on March 25th, and don't have tow vehicle, so I have no idea whether I can make this one.

If I am not working, I may have to bring a tent, and be a squatter. I don't have the time or the money to put a hitch on the Mini, right now. 800 bucks.

I want to be there. I just don't know if I can be there.

We will keep our fingers crossed that you get to come. You know tents and squatters are welcome. That's crazy....$800 for receiver hitch.
If u get a break just throw the tent, pillow and blanket in car. You know there is plenty of food

Hello All !! Well, we have officially 'gone to the dark side'....in that we still have our Casita, BUT, also a new 2013 Coachmen 25' w/slide. So it will be US in the largest trailer in the park (lol) Just couldn't resist and now we can have a bit more FUN in lieu of all the set-up/tear-down/loading/unloading We will be coming in on Wednesday and stay through Sunday.
Ready to catch some more trout..AND........have another Waffle Dog cook-off (ha ha ha) We would be glad to help with any leftover reservation fees, as well.

Look forward to seeing everyone......drive safe and lets git' camping !!

We are getting the camper ready tomorrow and will have to head down there as early as we can on Fri morning.

WOOHOO just a few more days till Beavers Bend. Looks like it is supposed to cool off but we will still have FUN....

We officially finished the new teardrop this morning. Talk about cutting it close. I am looking forward to trying out this new build.

Teardrop and back of Truck are all packed except for last minute items.

Hey Randy, You gonna make it by Thursday? In the past years we have had more and more folks showing up on Thursday but so far it looks like only a couple of us will be there Thursday.. Guess we will have plenty of time to rest before everyone else makes it in on Friday.

That's the plan. I plan on spending Wednesday night at Devils Den in Arkansas and getting to Beavers Bend about noon on Thurs.

I will be leaving San Antonio Wednesday and should be getting to gathering destination by noon on Thursday. Will spend one night at a Texas state park along the way.

Winter sucks Yesterday 6" of wet snow. This morning a windy 12 degrees with icy drifting roads!
