Hi everyone, I am not sure who all will be here for Thanksgiving day, but Terri & I will be cooking a 15.5 lb. turkey, dressing, gravy, and cranberry sauce. If anyone else could bring some other sides like green bean casserole, or desserts or whatever you want, you are welcome to join us. We will also be frying a 21 lb. turkey for Saturdays potluck but will need sides and desserts for it as well. I think Brandon will also be frying one. Please let me know what you plan to bring so we can have a super potluck and Thanksgiving dinner. Look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Safe travels everyone!!

Greg & Terri :) :wine:  :woohoo:

Update: Terri here. Tammy will be bringing 2 pies, mashed potatoes, rolls and a fruit salad for Thanksgiving day. We would also like to make omelets in a baggie probably Saturday morning, so please bring eggs, veggies, mushrooms, cheese or anything you like to pitch in. We will have baggies, some eggs, bacon, sausage, and turkey fryers to cook them in.

Hope everyone likes Brussel Sprouts! That will be my side dish and am trying to think about something else as well.

Joyce, Greg and I love Brussel sprouts. We are hoping that we don't have to cancel after agreeing to cook for Thanksgiving. It will all be decided upon my father in laws passing and when the funeral will be.

Sounds wonderful Peggy. We just found out yesterday that my father in law was put into hospice and probably won't last much longer, so we may have to cancel. Our apologies to everyone if we are unable to make it after agreeing to cook on Thanksgiving. They live out of state, so we may be making an 18 hour drive for the holiday to attend a funeral. They asked us to hold off coming until the funeral, so it all depends on when that will be. :(

Ohhh.... I'm so sorry about your father in law. We won't be there for Thanksgiving day. If you need anything else for Saturday... please let me know.

Dave and I will be there sometime on Wednesday. On Thursday, we will go to his sister's house in Weatherford.
We will bring the 10 x 20 with sides and the kerosene heater to stay out of the weather. This gives us a warm place for the weekend when it gets cold. The weather says 90% rain for Friday and Saturday. Hope we get the 10%!
:rainy:
Dave will have the smoker if anybody wants to smoke meat.
We have the pot luck on Saturday but you newbies need to know we often eat together by just sharing whatever we have at other times. Bring anything you like to eat - we eat almost anything (ask about the falafels!) After last night in the cold, I'm not looking forward to a cold weekend. I'm bringing some different games this weekend. Anybody for Scrabble?
Terry, we were sorry to hear about your uncle. Do what you both need to do. You know you guys will be missed!

Hey, everyone. We have camped 3 weekends in the rain or cold or both.
With 90% rain, Dave and I are calling it and will be staying home.
We will see you on Christmas at Loyd Park rain or shine.

Sad to say with 90% rain, I am 90% sure I will be dropping out too, I am not cancelling my reservation though since Texas weather is about as reliable as a Texas weatherman just in case... If it's cold, we can just light a fire... If it's cold and raining? See y'all next time. Time will tell, we still have all week.
