North to Alaska!

Postby mechmagcn » Wed Apr 18, 2012 9:14 am

Hi all! Sorry I haven't posted in a while to update everybody on my travels  but have been having too much fun to stop.
Made it to the Pacific coast via Palo Duro Canyon, Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Sequoia/Kings Canyon Nat Parks. Skipped Yosemite because of weather, but that just gives me an excuse for another trip 8)
The Republik of Kalifornia is killing me on fuel and outrageous camping fees, $20-35 a night for primative tent sites and a quarter eating shower that is cold water
Here's the pics that I have so far, might be a while till more, computer problems too.

I'm seriously envious Jeff! We did the Alaska Hiway thing in 1993 & so want to do it again. We'd thought we might do it this year but family obligations & the rising gas prices have conspired to prevent it. I'm working on the Scamp & if things go well we may try the Alaska trip with it next year. We enjoy the TD but the Scamp would probably be better for us on a trip like that. Have a great time! 8)
