Just scroll through the South central section and you should find all the events plus some of the pictures. The quick answer to you question is really no - there aren't any logs or attendance records. Only a few know about the attendance - those being the roster builder and name tag printers - but even those aren't kept from year to year and some bow out at the last minute and some just show up. LCG is not intended to be as "structured" as some other gatherings - we just get together and have some fun - If you want to know what went on - make some plans to join us next year

BTW - you gotta come if you want to know the "whole story" of what went on, ;cause we ain't tellin' all

Scott has given you the general answer...since this is "my" event, let me weigh in......
LCG, stands for Louisiana Cypresswood Gathering and started when I announced I was going to Lake Bistineau SP for my birthday...this was about 1 month before the event...we had 35 TD's and around 70 folks show up for that one and I was blown away by that fact...along with Charles Ippes, we fed EVERYONE on both Fri and Sat...things have grown from there.

After that first event, we continued to feed everyone on Fri night with a potluck on Sat, margarita and wine tasting events on Sat afternoon and a communal campfire on Sat night with a dance party on Sat as well, not forget to mention the Rayvillian's Sat morn Mountain Man breakfasts.

The park has 65 available sites and we have filled them all since the first one with the second year hitting nearly 250 people for Sat night potluck...since then it has averaged around 150 folks for Sat night...this year, due to illnesses in my family(no cheerleading or rah-rahing by me) and other factors, we only had around 45 TD's and just under 100 folks at this years event(LGV VII)...since this has been my birthday party and next year will be my 60th birthday, I am hoping for another really big turnout.

We have had a number of other things happening over the years and if you want to know the whole story, you will just havvta show up and participate.

if you've never been to LCG let me tell you go you will have great time.

I went to the first 2 or three, it is a good time. Like it's namesake (LCG was kind of a take/gag on IRG) the group has the run of the park.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I did attend one time at Lake Claiborne (sp?)...went in a unfinished 4x8 teardrop. I remenber it was cold and wet, then cleared up. Very nice facilities and super friendly folks. I will make it a point to make it 2013. Mad Jack I too will be celebrating the big un. So looking forward to more gatherings in 2013. Richard the swamp is much better place, the only funny thing happened at Claiborne was Casey Dog Glen got owned by that 250 pound shemale park ranger, he cried for three months after that.he said he crashed his scooter,bologna she tied him to a tree.

...there's always "fireworks" at the LCG...however, the plant referenced in the article is only 10mi orso from the State Park and the park has been closed at times because of problems at the plant...it may even be closed right now....jeeeeeez, over 1million tons of loosely and illegally stored gun cotton is a skeeeeery thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
