New Year's Eve

Postby bg » Mon Nov 26, 2012 8:28 pm

Has anything been planned for new years eve as of yet?

We have our property that i've been clearing, and I have enough room for a few teardrops and enough wood for a monster fire.

CD told me that Dave and Cindy have planned a gathering so I put it on the calendar. Do you have power out there? Gonna need heaters, and lots of AMPs to run em! I would like to see the place and not too far from me.

The New Years' Party was given to us last year to have for 2012. We have no idea who will do it next year.
We can have as as many 4 or 5 trailers if we all park on the street. We should have 2 guest rooms by then (kids are moving out) and have lots of room for blow up beds and our tear has a bed, too.
Everybody come whenever you want on Monday, December 31st!
Bring finger foods, dips, sweets, etc. to eat and your beverage of choice. I will supply cups, plates, etc.

You are certainly welcome to use our place for 2013 - bigger back yard - plenty of electrical - vacant lot next door for additional campers - plus we are out in the county - which means - Fireworks!

The Teardrop Nanny"]Where I know I will NOT be celebrating New Year's Eve THIS YEAR.........!!!! in the parking lot of the public works dept. camping out.

 Sorry, but I don't have the slightest idea what that means. I didn't even know you could camp in the public works parking lot - which BTW in Ennis is right next to the police station !!!!
I really mean it, if you can come to New Years' Eve at our house - come on!
;) Bring your blow up bed and you can sleep in the shop or where ever. Well, almost! This isn't an orgy kind of thing!
 And yes, there is a fire pit in the yard. We had some pretty big fires in it last year. :frightened:

Anybody want to go in halves for a pony keg?

Nanny and friends had to spend the night in order to get the dates they want fir IRG. Since it is only every two years, this is the off year.

Good idea Thomas. We stayed at home when 1999 turned into 2000 just to be on the safe side and watching out for crazies expecting the world to end. If you aren't aware....it did not happen  . Every year since we go to the Frio River near Garner State Park to welcome in the new year with a large group of good friends. Hope everyone is safe and enjoys whatever fun you choose.
BTW, all the brave souls do a polar bear swim in the Frio, no matter what the weather brings and I stand by to take pictures. Smart me.

I plan to be there. I should be able to borrow a tow vehicle from a dealer client of mine -- they usually have a few trucks and SUVs in stock.

MOINK balls always seem to go fast at gatherings, so maybe I should make up a whole bunch of those. I also smoked some cheese the other night, and put a few slabs aside for NYE.

We will be spending our New Year's Eve on the beach in the Keys...

The campground we are staying at told me all the campers normally gather on the beach for a potluck and ring in the new year...

Let's talk about New Years'
Food: Let's do Finger foods - I will have some nacho cheese, BBQ meatballs, cake balls and maybe chili cheese fries.
Oh, yes, the chocolate fountain will be up and going with pretzels, crackers and other stuff to chocoate.
The deep fry will be up so we can fry anything you want to fry - even Spam!

Sleeping Arrangements: We can take in 5 trailers (Glen, Mark/Cindy, and Greg/Terri have already reserved.) Reserve your space now.
I have 1 or maybe 2 spare rooms, a couch bed and the teardrop plus we can have many people on blow up beds.
Plan to stay and not drive home if you drink. :wine:
Let me know if you are coming.

Fire Ring: We have enough wood to keep the fire going outside.

Sweat Lodge: The shop can be the temporary sweat lodge for the night.

 Fun for all. :dancing Who's coming. :P
