Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Hey everyone,
I called Beaver's Bend State Park and the RV sites are completely full for April 7, 8 and 9th 2006.
There were available rv sites a couple of weekends in March. We need to decide ASAP on another weekend before they get booked.
Reservations: We can only make group reservations for 5 or more. The person making the reservation must pay for the first night for all campers. Charles and I will be happy to make the reservations and let everyone mail us their first night's fee ($18.00).
So.... We need to shoot for another weekend.
March 24, 25 and 26th or March 31, April 1st and 2nd?
I would like to make reservations by this weekend if possible, so let's get your opinion on the date.

Linda, I vote for the April Fools gathering for March 31-April 1st-April 2nd. That would fit nicely. Just think of the April Fools we could play!

Either weekend is OK by Me. Thanks for checking about the reservations. I was looking at there schedule of events; but there is none posted for 2006. :D

Can't do this one. Too far for a 3 day weekend.

Either is fine with me, but I do like the April Fools weekend!!! How fun would that be?!!! I really really doubt I'll even have my teardrop started by then but what the heck! I'll be ready for a mini vacation !

Ok, not many replies so we will plan on March 31, April 1st and 2nd. I talked to Beaver's Bend again about reservations. I can not make reservations for tent campers, only rv spaces. We have to have at least 5 and it looks like that won't be a problem. I was told I can book the spaces and they will bill me for deposites (first night per space) and I will have 2 weeks to pay. So I need those planning to go to please send their deposite to Charles and I. This way we will have everyones money when we mail it in or put it on our card. I will reserve a few extra spaces for now. That way if anyone else decides to go they will have a space. I can cancel the unused spaces a week or so before we go.
So.....If you plan to go please forward $18 to us by Jan 16, 2006. I will make the reservations on Monday the 2nd...

Thanks for getting this all together. I am sending you my money and info. (It is extremely hard for me to plan that far in advance.) Spring is a busy, busy, time of year for us. Our son shows pigs with 4-H, which keeps us hopping on the weekends that time of year. For now, I am planning on being there. I'm excited! My first gathering with other teardroppers!!

Linda, I will put your check in the mail the next day they run. If you want to wait till you get the check go ahead. I am planning on bringing my funny hats and joke book.

Yeah, we'll have to think up some stuff for that weekend, Cindy!!! Hopefully no funny stuff with the food though .. haha But a good potluck and such...

Well we have 5 scheduled for this trip to Beaver's Bend. I will reserve 10 spaces to be safe. I can always cancel the unused ones a week before we arrive.
We will have to be sure and plan a potluck for Saturday night.

Well, maybe I'm just hungry for dinner right now but I will offer to handle the breakfast, will decide for sure later about the particulars, most likely for Saturday morning. Probably the omelets.

and PS I added this to the Calendar, along with the Cedar Hill (TX) and the Cheyenne, WY in July.
