Fri/Sat at LCGX.....

Postby madjack » Sat Oct 17, 2015 2:04 pm

(...here I am...late again)

...ever since I kicked off the LCG/birthday party. I have seen to the provision for a cajun styled meal on Fri night...and since this is the tenth, I see no reason to change...even at this late date...towit, I will head to the gettin' place and pick up the fixins for an e'touffee...a shrimp/crawfish e'touffee for Fri night...cold salads and hot bread go well with this and of course, deserts are always welcome...

...Breakfast on Sat morn with Gary and Trudy and Larry and crew........

...TonyJ will be unable to make it this year so, we do not have use of his majical margarita machine...anyone eles have an idea far a Sat afternoon social....

...normal potluck on Saturday evening.....

...there is a fire ban in place...since we do not have the park full of teardroppers(as in past years) and do to the shortage of time, I don't know if I can get any kind of waiver...but I will try...tis all I can do............

...as always, extra tables are more than welcome!!!!!!!!

Jack - we should arrive Thur PM. Lemme know what I can bring for the E'touffee (besides garlic bread), or you can post a list of ingredients & I'll pick something. We only have a small electric oven with the Casita but there's a microwave & we can improvise as always...

Ok I'll bring the Chicken for Sat Pot Luck but am a complete ignorant on Cajun cooking so feel free to assign me something please. No I don't have a Margarita machine.

Madjack- are you going to have the burners & pots & all to cook it in? And are you doing the shrimp & crawfish together?
Joyce- I've been watching the weather too. Our campground circle doesn't have a covered pavilion. The 'party site' is a huge deck, but not covered
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

...all pots and pans are covered(I have them)...and we are not cooking up a gumbo on Fri...I am cooking up an e'touffee, which is a kinda crawfish/shrimp stew served over rice...it will be easier for me to just pickup the ingredients since, at this late date, assigning ingredients to bring would be too complicated...small donations would be accepted...............

...as for the weather...all I can say is, bring a poncho, a can do attitude, a sense of humor and we won't care what the weather does............

Weather at LCG has always been iffy, it usually rains at least once during the weekend. But I can't remember a time that we have let damp weather stop us from having a ball.
I'll be there sometime Fri. and will donate to the cause.....cause I love a good e'toufee.
Sat. night potluck I'll try to bring a DO of pork ribs and taters.

My margarita machine is currently out-of-service. I'll see if I can get it back working before we leave.
