MJ Just in case there are any questions I helped broker this deal. It's kind of an old school LCG with about 100 newbies from another group. Shelley reserved all the sites then sub let all her reservations and let people pick their sites with just the deposit (1st night) paid. So you'll be in Site 70 and she said all you need to do is roll on in and give your name (not Kenny or Shelley) and your site # and you'll be good to go after paying the remainder of the camping fee. I hope that fulls in any gaps if there are any and it was great talking with you at Caddo and will be very glad to see you here at Tyler as well my friend.

The event is getting closer and I was wondering if there was going to be a potluck dinner or any other group activities. I tried looking at the FB page, and didn't see anything (but I really don't do FB and may have missed it.)

Great Post Tom, It's horrible trying to navigate Facebook, here we have one thread for the topic DONE.... So here is the calendar of Events for March Gathering pulled from the site.

Friday 3/17
6 pm Hotdog cook out / dutch oven competition.
Hotdogs will be provided. Please bring food, potluck style if you wish to participate.

Saturday 3/18
8 am Omelette in a bag breakfast (Process may begin then but 8:30-9 and you are safe to get a spot in the pot)
1-4pm Public Open House (Actual public, like people from the town who saw us on TV will drive over for the afternoon, lock up valuables)
6 pm Group Photo (if your late no one will Photoshop you in)
6:15 Door Prizes (Would be nice to bring something small to donate)
6:30 Pot Luck
7:15 Awards (Best camper = Thomas, coolest camper = Thomas, most modified camper = Thomas, camper that looks most like a 70s boogie van interior = Thomas ... too bad those aren't the categories! they do have best overall and best lighting and others, I think your teardrop needs to make the lake view loop really slow before locating your site in Big Pine).

The first site on the left as you enter Big Pine loop is the main site where door prizes and the list of activities and all kinds of info will be. I think it's 57 but don't quote me!.

Its a great question so I will pin this at the top of the thread too. So glad y'all are coming!

FYI reminder on arrival dates:

Shelley reserved everyone starting Thursday but says anyone who is arriving on Friday should contact her because she can adjust that 72 hours out. (Why that is, I do not know). This is important because it appears you may be required to pay for Thursday if you don't contact her and adjust or worse, you may also be subject to being a no show on Thursday and potentially lose your site.

Here is a snip of the prior conversation April 17th 2016:

Shelley: Reservations have been made for each person dated 16 - 19 March 2017. If you plan to come earlier, please go to the TPWD website and make reservations for additional days. Please feel free to email me with any questions [email protected]
Thomas: What about people who are arriving Friday and not Thursday?
Shelley: I can make adjustments 72 hours out for those.
