Staryder / David you may want to check with Linda as I saw in a previous post that you were requesting site 15 also.

She's supposed to get back with me and let us know if she can get us in to Beavers Bend..

I've already contacted Linda, but we are not going to make it this year (again). I need to attend a training program for work. At least there is some small concession in missing BB in that the training is in New Orleans.

Is anyone going to the Texas Vintage Trailer Rally the weekend before? I am doing that, then going to work our way up to Beavers Bend for a 10 days of camping and possibly more if we feel like it.

We are going to the Texas Vintage rally the weekend before. After Beaver’s Bend we are headed to Utah for our daughter’s college graduation. Going to be a busy month

The weekend before BB we are going to Daingerfield SP on Fri., Sat., Sun., and Atlanta SP on Mon., & Tues., and then on to Beavers Bend on Wednesday.

Woody, that sounds like a great trip, I still haven't seen Atlanta SP. We were at Bastrop last weekend for my birthday and it is still pretty desolate from the fire and flood but still interesting. Lisa and I made our reservations for April and are doing the Vintage Trailer rally at Lake Livingston the weekend before, then Martin Creek early in the following week and Caddo Lake mid-week, then BB then to my place or Tawakoni before she heads home to Austin and I may follow halfway down to camp at Fairfield or Meridian to break up the drive.


Melody, it will be good to see you guys and I hope you have a safe long trip to Utah!

Just put all new brakes, and bearings on my trailer, getting ready for camping season to start. Making a test run over to Palo Duro Canyon this weekend, then Beavers Bend in April. Ready for warmer weather!

rockin, please let us know how you like Palo Duro Canyon, was doing a search for places here in Texas and found it.. it looks like fun.. We are so looking forward to Beavers Bend, meeting people and having fun.. David

Hello friends, acquaintances, and folks I don't know.

I'm glad to see that the BB gathering is still happening. Planovet is psychopoodle's vet, and so we still get together over shots and pills for the dog. He still gives me the Teardropper's discount, too.

I will be working an auction that weekend, but I hope you have perfect weather and a good time. Don't forget the banana pudding, and the ceremonial crowning of the puddin-head.

We are not going to make Beavers Bend,, I've hurt my back really bad, and there's just no way to make the gathering..
We are reserved for site 31,, and I will let Linda know by email we are not making it..
So if anyone was wanting a site, contact her..
We'll figure out another gathering to make at a later date, enjoy and have funn..

Well I am sorry to hear that David, I hope your back heals up quickly and it wasnt due to pushing yourself to get the camper done, it is a right of passage and tradition to miss your first gathering!
