Six Robblees in Tacoma, Chris ?

I was inquiring about electric brakes for my Dexter axle today @ 6 Robbles in Tacoma, WA. I told the guy it was for a teardrop and he showed me a smaller Dexter axle with brakes for a woman named Chris that is making a teardrop. He wouldn't give me any more information and I didn't want to know. Is this Chris on this board, a lerker or just someone building on her own? :D Danny

Kris, I guess that means I have seen the beginnings of your tear, great axle selection. I took in my tear to 6 robblees today just to make sure the guy at the counter and I were talking about the same axle. It's good I took my tear in as I needed a 7 1/4" Electric brake assembly not the 10" he quoted me even though my center tube is thicker than yours for some reason. I had to get some of the parts at the main store in Seattle. This is one of my jobs for me to do over the long weekend. :scratchthinking: Danny

Hi Danny,
I'm glad you think I made a good axle choice. This was a difficult decision for me and not one I could have made without the forum.
Your teardrop is gorgeous, by the way.

Kris, Thanks. One of the counter guys at 6 Robblees told me he has never seen a Dexter Torsion axle fail. I watch mine in the rear view mirror just go up... and... down and hardly ever does it hop except when there is a high bump in the pavement where they are repaving. Danny

That Tacoma store hauled my Dexter over to the barge line for shipping up to AK. To my knowledge, didn't charge me a cent for the service. Pretty good people I think.

Hi All,
Glad to hear that others are having a good experience with the guys at Six Robblees. They answered my questions patiently (no rolling of eyes or "What do you want to do that for?") and delivered the axle earlier than promised.
I don't know how well the axle works yet because my welder can't weld the chassis until November 13 since a lot of his staff takes the month of October off for vacation. I will let you know how it works then.
Kris :)

Hey guys,

I have been dealing with these guys at 6 Roblees for the past 25 years, that I've been in auto parts and they are the experts to deal with. I've never had a problem with them. They are first class.
