I'll be there, teardrop has made major progress and though it might not ever be "finished" it will be campable (especially if i don't have to worry about water leaks).

Hopefully, I'll be in the same boat. I'll be there for sure, with our without the tear.

Oh, the south side of craters. I was expecting the other side. Cool! I've never been down there.

Lithosis, did you get the directions to Crystal Ice caves?

Google seems to know where that is. It shows a small loop there so I think I have it. Kinda west of Aberdeen. Image

Idaho Falls. I'm going to avoid the 80 mph highways if this is my first time pulling the teardrop.

You're lucky, I'm going to make sure I get out and get some drive time with this before hand but coming form CDA I don't think I can completely avoid freeways.

I am planning on being there still. Might have a few others with me, but how many?

I will be bringing my 4x8 foamie on this trip. Putting it through the paces before the next big trip in October.

Should I plan my own day outings or do you have outings planned?

I see it as a "Plan your own thing" kind of a thing.

At least the freeways we have around here are nothing like the ones around Salt Lake.

Ok, I will put some side trips together then. Thanks, George.

Save room for some newbies! Crater's has been on my list for awhile but I really have no idea what's there (or near). I'm a little slow hiking since i always carry too much camera gear but I'm (slowly) getting braver with the truck offroad. Of course if nobody wants me tagging along I'll hang out next to my half finished teardrop drinking beer all day and be in a great mood when you return to camp :D

Not a problem. You can tag along. Looks like your vehicle should do fine for this trip. Nothing to terrible out there as long as you don't have street tires. You can check out what I do get into on my YouTube Channel if interested https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYuRx2 ... wVwZJ5oztg .
