Condolences to Cindy on the loss of her stepmom, sorry for her loss. Norma and I decided to pass on the campout but bought doughnuts to take out to any who showed up tomorrow but will wait to see if there is a rescheduling of the event. Lee and Norma

Thank you! And how thoughtful of you. We will reschedule, probably within 2-3 weeks.

Not sure I can make it today. After yesterday's marathon drive I barely slept last night. Might crash after work and some stuff I need to do in town today. Who knows.,

After I drop Cindy off at the airport to be with her father during this time of loss of her stepmother I'll be headed to 1000 Springs for at least Sunday and into Monday morning. I may stay longer. I'd like to point out the weather forecast of three 50+ degree days in a row. I can't believe I missed my forecast by "that" much.

Anyone who can come out for Sunday, or longer, I'll see you there. I know it's been an on again off again ride. And we will plan another gathering for a few weeks from now, but if you are flexible please come by Sunday and share a camp fire. It's not every year we get 50 degrees in January.

I know. Six-bits says the sun comes out and it feels like 72º. That's a glorious place down there.

Share some pics!

I hooked up the trailer and started chucking stuff in it about a hour ago. Heading out in a few minutes. Stop for some food. Should be there in about 2 hours.

Freeze ya there

Just arrived home from Idaho Freezeout. Seems I need to change the name. First, I would like to thank my teardrop family for all the support and love sent to my wife and I at this time of loss for our family. Cindy is in Indiana spending time with her family.

Secondly, I apologize for any confusion I cause using a picture of Warren Miller to announce the loss in our family. I had no idea that he had passed on the same day. I chose Warren's picture because to me it captures all the essence of winter camping. While I do feel a part of Warrens Tribe, as I'm sure most teardroppers do, I'm not related to him by blood. Kay Cortapassi-Whipp caught be completely off guard with her comment.

Our 1000 Springs campout was was just what I needed at this time. Sharing a campfire with Randy Phillips, is always a delight. And spending time sitting beside the Snake River with all it's wildlife, hearing the mighty 1000 Springs gushing from the cliffs on the other side while bathed in the warm sunshine of a 57 degree day in the middle of Idaho's winter was amazing. It was so nice for Lee and Norma of Twin Falls to bring us donuts and give me a chance to meet them.

We hope to do it again

Rob!
Let us know if you do another one. We thought you had cancelled or we would have come over to share the donuts!

Anybody up for camping Southern Idaho area Feb 9-11 or the weekend after? This weather is supposed to hold for a couple more weeks. Tell me your thoughts. 1000 Springs is nice. Cost is $25-35 per day. They have electricity, heated restrooms and indoor pool. Leslie Gulch is no fee, pit toilet. What does anyone want to do.

The weather has been phenomenal! Wish we could camp with some of the gatherings, but no camper usable at the moment, besides I can't do campfires, and that is a real damper on the party. :NC I hope you all have a good time!

I know that this is off topic, but if anyone in the Idaho/Utah area is interested:

I have a Coleman On Demand Water Heater that is free to a good home. I haven't run it for a couple of years, but it ran when used last. If anyone is interested I am located in the Southeast Idaho area about 25 miles from Pocatello. PM me.
