I just read that. Makes sense to add northern Nevada back to that group, since almost all of Nevada is in the great basin.

I have tried to get some interest over here in Utah with the Great Basin Chapter for a few years now. Not much of a response. I know there area few teardrops over here. I would like to have a gathering but I could never get anyone to respond as to when and where. I would love to "help" plan something if there is any interest. I even designed the Tearjerkers logo for the Great Basin chapter a few years ago. If anyone is interested, please post here or over on their website. Maybe we can have a gathering in the future.

hope so bryan. There does seem to be some interst on this side of the state. Have you considered coming over to Falling Tears in September? It is the closest gathering to you. We have a few folks coming from Idaho. Could be a great way to get a new great basin chapter going again.

Ohhh. If you go with the above Great Basin map I could join. I live an hour away from Death Valley in high desert and although I enjoy VISITING southern California, I really have more in common with you folks than the palm tree and congested freeway people. Let me know if this gets off the ground. I'm already used to driving 6 hours up north to visit my sister in Reno.
