You'll probably hear something in the next couple of days. Did you happen to send him a picture?

Have a good day.

I sent one, figured it couldn't hurt. It probably gives him an idea of what to expect when we all show up.

Got info from him this morning; sent a reply along with a photo of my rig. He said he only had one slot left, so I hope I get it. :worship:

I may have to pull the truck out of the display area, since its 2004 vintage.

Looking forward to meeting some of you guys.

Steve

I sent one of each, the truck and the wagon. So as to show him what I had. I told him in the second email that I would most likely be bringing the tear down with the wagon because I believe it was more stock looking. I just picked up a pair of bucket seats from the junk yard yesterday that I'm going to put in the wagon. Maybe no one will notice.

Hey Leon, we're planning on going down Friday morning. When are you planning on going down there?

Have a good day.

:D I rechecked my e-mail from them and here is part of what I received
Here are the details:

We are using the north parking lot as a vintage campground. I will have approximately 26 spaces. Participants can check-in any time Friday, June 23 and depart by 12:00 noon on Sunday, June 25. Camping will be free to participants. Our anniversary open house will be from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2006, and we're asking participating vintage campers to meet and greet the general public during our anniversary event showing them what camping was like during the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's, and even the 1970's. A bathroom with flush toilets is next to the vintage camping area, and the site is surrounded by large trees. There is a dump station near by and showers are a short walk in the regular campground. In front of the vintage camping area is a lawn, then the beach, and the ocean.

The anniversary event will show case Doheny State Beach and its 75 year history. In addition to the vintage camping, we'll have woodies, vintage surfboards, park/ranger/lifeguard history, our aquarium, flora and fauna interpretation, and even a menehune (for kids) surf contest on the beach.

If you would like to particpate, I will need your contact information - address, telephone, and Email, the year and model of the trailer/camper, and year and model of the tow vehicle.
