Just as next time though, our school nurse organization uses a company called Eventbright to manage our conference registrations. It is low hassle and low cost. Well worth it. I then sent everyone our packet of info via a pdf packet made in microsoft word.

Re: IRG 5.0 2014 Success!

Postby Esteban » Sat Jan 25, 2014 1:24 am

SUCCESS!
USPS tracking shows Dean and Joanie received my (2nd) mailed registration early this afternoon. Yahoo Yippee and a Big Relief! :) :applause: 8)

Edit: Stopped payment on the first check. Reviewed caller ID to see if any odd calls came from the 707 area code. None. Did get one or two calls and quick hang ups from "private" numbers recently. Which proves nothing. Maybe other "missing" people who have caller ID can review their calls and see if anything suspicious shows up?

2nd edit: I received an email confirmation from Dean! I might have missed it because it went into my junk folder. It should have gone into my "precious folder." The completion of my teardrop will soon restart in earnest.

Yeah!!!... Of the 31 known registrations that were stolen, 17 have successfully resubmitted and have been confirmed.
Please help get the word out to anyone who mailed their registration early, that may be unaware of this situation.
We now know mail theft did occur on 1-6-2014 (Through tracking delivery) and suspect we also got hit the following day.

Dean and Joanie,
Just got back on the forum...we're in the thick of wrestling season and all the craziness it brings. We sent our registration in on January 3rd and posted here. I just PM'd you both. Checked the bank...check hasn't cleared. Hopefully we're still in. I will send off new registration ASAP. Will add phone number to PM.

Hope to hear from you!

This is Ron #33 as I remember it. I just keep watching the calendar at work so I can get off hopefully in a new trailer too. I also have a big birthday in the 14th I can not miss.
Nice to hear all you folks are coming.

30 of the 33 known stolen registrations have now safely made it to us through second mail ins. A couple in Fortuna were arrested for possession of stolen checks and meth... We called the Fortuna Police, but were told that we were not on the victim list. All is secure here, going to take some time getting use to needing a key when exiting the property.

That's great, :applause: You guys really need it. I hope it last long enough to make a dent in your drought.

It is still snowing here on the north Oregon coast. But we are suppose to get rain this entire next week.

and to think here in western Washington where it is support be raining, it's dry but C O L D !!!! - like below 20 last nite with a hi today of 36 !!! We've gotten our rains this year but very little snow, just one day so far - even with the sub-cold temps, little to no snow here so far. We don't need it here where I am at but in the mountains, which we are finally getting some of it there now. Just hope it doesn't end up being snow in time for spring flooding - something we haven't had in a few years. I'm sure they don't need any of that there in northern California either. I remember seeing some of the historical info and the left over damage about the flooding that they have had in that area over time when I bicycled down the coast back in 1985. Klamath area comes to mind with their floods around 1960 and 64. Don't get to wet and stay safe. T.Hoefer Camano Island, Wash.
