Oct. Camping in Utah with Butch and the Sundance Kid

Postby Yogi Bear » Fri Nov 03, 2006 12:25 am

Hello All,

The wife and just returned home from Zion Nat,Park with our Yellow TD

We camped in the Watchman Campground at the South Gate, Springdale.

Camping at this time of year is Great! There are no large crowds to deal with and the weather was cool nights and warm days. The wind blow each night in the canyon. But, TD stood it's ground and we never worry about it blowing away like our tent.

We took the road to Grafton, Utah a Ut. ghost town, on Halloween!
No ghosts found. But, a EZ road for a TD and pick up truck.

This is one of the little towns used in Butch Casady and the Sundance Kid. Robert Redford and Paul Newman. "Tear Drops Keep Fallen on My Head" or something like that. (wink)

Sorry, it's posted NO CAMPING!

So, get out and enjoy your TD this fall!

Yeah Zion I love that place. I just looked at Flagstaff weather and in the low 20's it's hard to think about camping up north. What where the temps up there at Zion this time of year.
