I don't know if you can make this at the campsite but if you bring it along you won't be unhappy!

Pumpkin Patch Dessert

Mix in bowl:

1 - 29oz. can Pumpkin
4 - Eggs
1 - teaspoon salt
1 - 12 oz can EVAPORATED milk
3 - teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 1/2 - cups of sugar

Mix above and pour in a lightly greased 9"x13" pan.

Then take 1 BOX OF YELLOW CAKE MIX, and sprinkle over top.

Then take 1 cup MELTED MARGERINE and pour evenly over top of cake mix.

Then take 1 cup chopped PECANS and sprinkle on top of everything.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Oh my is this excellent!!!!

What we need is a recipe for Peach Pie or Peach cobbler on a grill stove. Can that be done?

Make a five sided stainless steel box and set it over the grill, plug a thermometer into it and have a simple elevated baking rack for the cobbler dish... bake away.

How about making the peach pie filling and use a sandwich press to make a, kind of... strudel?

That thing looks like a pie iron. The following website has pictures and recipes.

Hope it helps out... unfortunately no Peach Cobbler recipe.

Sorry Chief,
No url and the picture is just in my brain.
Just look at your grill and imagine setting a box with one opened side, (the bottom) made to fit over your grill. You could get fancy and put a door on one side. The idea it to trap the heat in the box to create a crude oven. They make cheap fold up aluminum camp ovens, been a while since I've seen one.
Heck, just bake it in your DO on top of the grill.

Ya, thats the ticket. I've also seen them called sandwich presses. The kids love to make pizza presses with them at the campsite.

If your looking for another fun idea for the kids...my dad used to helps us do "bacon on a stick" over an open campfire for breakfast. But be sure you help them get it off the stick!! Safety first people.
