Sparkling Potatoes

Postby DRYVEM » Thu Oct 05, 2006 11:51 pm

I got a new DO cookbook today. Lovin' Dutch Ovens by Joan Larsen. I tried the Sparkling Potatoes recipe to go with pork chops. The potatoes were excellent! Smelled so good. My son dug in to them before I could even get a picture. So here is a picture of the aftermath.

Looks very good. What is the sparkling in the potatoes?

I see bacon and cheese that sparkles in my eyes!

Mmmmm, bacon. Bacon makes everything taste better!

The sparkling probably refers to the can of 7-up you cook the potatoes in. Hard to go wrong with potatoes, bacon and cheese. As Emeril would say, "Pork fat rules!"

I bet that is good. I had cherry jello with 7up in it and that was super.
