I was just gon'na get a 10" DO

Stopped at the Army/Navy store to look at Dutch ovens, Neat Lets see,Texsport,Lodge. My My My oops look at that it must be one of those Deep DO I have heard about, Says Louis and Clark no rim on the outer edge, hum, salesman said "you can use it like a dutch oven." Price was right. Now I have a Bean Pot, anybody know how to use one of these?? :cry: :oops: :oops:

You might be able to put a rim around the top to keep the coals or if you get real desperate turn the lid inside out.

Does it have legs? Any cast pot or pan should work in a fire.

Thank You, :applause: for the replies, turning the lid upside down might work, it does seem deeper than a normal DO, WOW look at the recipe's, not going hungry this winter. :thumbsup:

You can make a ring of aluminum foil to serve as the ash ring. That way, the coals don't roll off and you don't get ashes in your food.
