Apple Crisp

Postby vairman » Mon Nov 13, 2006 10:45 pm

I haven't tried this recipe in a DO, but it's really easy and good, and it should make a good DO recipe.

Apple Crisp

5 large Granny Smith apples peeled & cut into 1/2 in. wedges
1 9 oz. Jiffy brand Yellow Cake Mix
2 Tbsp. Sugar
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1/4 cup or 1/2 stick Butter, softened @ room temp.
1/2 cup chopped Pecans

Arrange apple wedges in an 8 in. baking dish. Mix together cake mix, Sugar, Cinnamon, Pecans and softened butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes, or until apples are soft.

We've tried it and it is really good, just not in a DO yet. When I get one, a DO that is, I'll try it out and let ya know how it turns out. :)
