I know its the photographer, and not the camera. I'll keep shooting with a Pentax. Just in case.

Cast iron conducts moderately well but it conserves very well indeed.

Well, I took Dean's and Ma3tt's advice. After a scrubbing, a friend bead blasted the old carbon and who knows what else off. I then re-seasoned, and I think giving $12 for a pretty nice Wagner Ware Bacon and Egg Skillet was well worth it!

Man I must be doing something wrong because the only piece of CI that I have is a number 8 Wagner skillet with a glass lid.

Somebody tell me what I am doing wrong, how come I am not getting any of these wonderful afflictions

Once you buy one and cook in it, you're hooked. I don't think Rocky had any CI when he went to the IRG. Now look at him. My first attempt was at the IRG and now I have a couple D.O.'s.
I'm getting hungry talking about it.

Gary and Trudy cooked breakfast in their DO for us. Also made a cobbler in the DO later that day. Now look at me. I'm looking at Iron everywhere, and have it on my Christmas list too! 8)

Thanks guys, we are happy with the way it turned out. So, I think I'll pass on you;re generous offer Ma3tt. :D

Mike, you are right, I didn't have any until after sampling some of the good food at the LCG; then I got the bug.

I don't have much, just a 10 and 12 D.O., the above shown Breakfast skillet, I already had an 10 inch skillet (for my corn bread), I also picked up two little sauce pots. They look like little D.O.s, no lids though, about 3 inch or so. Oh, I did find a little (tea size) corn stick pan yesterday.

Yep, it can be addicting.
