I use the Kroger brand copy of Gladware, and some velcro to keep my basics in the tear. Kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano and basil from my garden are my basics.

In a few weeks, I'll be planting this year's crop of fresh herbs. I can't wait.

But, I have no problem with using McCormick spices, even in a pre-measured package. If it tastes good, eat it.

ANY homemade cooking, even with ready measured spices, is better and healthier than eating prepared foods from a can or freezer pack.

Caseydog, I like your storage method. Are those velcroed? The dog must of thought of it, like burrs in fur!

blasphemy for the true gourmet, and anyone could premeasure themselves, but for me, the occasionally lazy camp cook who still likes to cook good, this might be the ticket, especially if you are traveling across country and want a nice meal without stopping to buy an usual spice for one tablespoon. I bought a couple to test out.

I love these! I love to cook and have more than my share of spices around the house, but the shear convenience and easy packing without fuss is great. My folks live 1/2 year in their motorhome and this saves so much room for her not buying/packing spices she will only use every once in awhile.
