Bacon Bits Gravy & Biscuits For 2

Postby countymountiesgt » Mon Sep 05, 2011 11:11 pm

I know using canned or frozen biscuits is cheating, but this gravy is so good you probably won't notice  I start by melting 2-3 tablespoons of real butter. I then add about half a bag of real bacon bits while the butter finishes melting. Add 2 heaping spoons of AP flour. Salt/pepper & a little onion powder. cook this rue over low medium heat to get rid of the flour taste and then slowly add a can of evaporated milk. once it starts to bubble & thicken just remove from heat. If it gets a little too thick, then just cut it with a little regular milk, but don't forget to adjust your seasonings. This quick recipe is easy, perfect for two, and has enough gravy to put on your eggs as well :R
