got S More history

Postby Ron Dickey » Fri Aug 09, 2013 1:32 pm

No one is quite sure where s'mores originated, but the first known printed recipe was in a Girl Scout publication in the late 1920's. It is generally assumed that the classic S'more was invented by campers and vacationers who passed the recipe word-of-mouth right over the marshmallow toasting campfire.

I guess around then the Marshmallow came to be?

Got S More thoughts????

that is smore fun for us all.

Sometime I think it is not the taste that counts here it is more the mess..... :R melting marshmallows putting on the gram cracker and letting the hot Marshmallow melt the chocolate between the two crackers and getting it in your mouth without burning your mouth nor dripping it down you face and onto you clothing. :NC :frightened:
Now I ask you, Danny does that sound like fun or what!! :rofl2:

And thank you for the Image not messy at all just a happy little guy!!

google images: people eating s'mores It shows some other types of s'mores too. ;)

I have a friend on Instagram and she just posted a Oreo S'more. Wow! I've got to try this out on our next trip!!! The last two camp trips, I made grilled s'mores and they were awesome! My wife who is 66 had never eaten a S'more until 2 weeks ago!!!!! We've been married 25 years and she just started going camping with me!
